THE 2008 PREMIER'S GAMES APPEAL DINNER

The 2008 Premier’s Games Appeal Dinner is on Friday 1st August at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre - exactly one week before the Opening Ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games!

 




A Call to South Australian Businesses to Support South Australian Athletes
In view of the upcoming Beijing Olympic Games in 2008, The South Australian Olympic Council is calling upon all South Australian businesses to take an active role in supporting the state's athletes. By being part of the donation aquisition in the upcoming high-profile event, The Premiere's Games Appeal Dinner, businesses will be given an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to 1,000 high-profile South Australian Corporate leaders at the dinner while at the same time assisting our athletes to acheive their Olympics goals in Beijing. AOC applies new standards of behaviour
09 December 2008

Under new rules imposed by the Australian Olympic Committee, athletes must declare any serious criminal charges or convictions or any conduct not in the best interests of the Team prior to being selected for future Olympics.

Previously athletes were only required to disclose information about conduct that brought themselves or their sport into disrepute. [more]




Nick Green to lead the 2012 Australian Olympic Team

Dual Olympic rowing gold medallist Nick Green will lead the Australian Olympic Team to the 2012 Games in London following his appointment as Chef de Mission today.

The AOC Executive Board endorsed Green’s appointment at a meeting in Melbourne. [more]

Ice Sports Centre to produce more Olympic champions

Construction will begin early next year on a National Ice Sports Centre in Melbourne which AOC President John Coates says will make Australia a world power in ice sports. [more]

CoSport announces first Vancouver Ticket Phase

CoSport, the Official Ticket Sales and Hospitality Provider of the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC), has launched its first phase of offerings for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games for individual Olympic event tickets. [more]
